C70600 Material Properties

BFe10-1-1 (UNSC70600) material properties:
BFe10-1-1 (UNSC70600) alloy is a copper alloy with nickel, iron and manganese as the main added elements. It has good corrosion resistance, machinability, ductility, electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and excellent seawater antifouling performance , widely used in the field of warships, aircraft carriers, nuclear submarines and other weapons and equipment manufacturing, as well as heat exchangers, condenser tubes, seawater desalination devices and other fields
BFe10-1-1 (UNSC70600) is a structural white cupronickel with less nickel. The addition of Fe and Mn in BFe10-1-1 alloy greatly improves the corrosion resistance of this material.
In clean seawater, the alloy accepts water flow rates up to 2.2-2.5%/s. The maximum acceptable speed in slightly salt solution is up to 4m/s. The alloy avoids stress corrosion cracking and denickel at high temperature. Therefore, the alloy has good corrosion resistance to clean or polluted seawater and Jiangwan water, and is widely used in heat exchangers using seawater such as power stations, desalination, and petrochemical plants.
Therefore, BFe10-1-1 (UNSC70600) is mostly used for plates and pipes.

Application Areas Of C70600 Material

BFe10-1-1 (UNSC70600) nickel cupronickel pure copper plus nickel can significantly improve the strength, corrosion resistance, hardness, resistance and thermoelectricity, and reduce the temperature coefficient of resistivity. Therefore, compared with other copper alloys, cupronickel has exceptionally good mechanical properties and physical properties, good ductility, high hardness, beautiful color, corrosion resistance, and deep drawing properties. It is widely used in ships, petrochemicals, electrical appliances, instruments, medical equipment, Daily necessities, handicrafts and other fields, or resistance and thermocouple alloys.

ASTM B111 C70600 Copper Nickel Alloy Tube | Copper Nickel Alloy Rod | C70600 Pipe Fittings
C70600 is a structural iron-nickel copper with less nickel. Compared with BFe10-1-1, its strength and hardness are lower, but its plasticity is higher and its corrosion resistance is similar. Can replace BFe10-1-1.

The addition of Fe and Mn in the C70600 alloy greatly improves the corrosion resistance of this material. In clean seawater, the alloy can accept a flow rate of 2.2-2.5%/s. The highest acceptable speed in the micro-salt solution can reach 4m/s. The alloy can avoid stress corrosion cracking and high temperature spot nickel removal. Therefore, the alloy has good corrosion resistance to clean or polluted seawater and river bay water, and is widely used in heat exchangers using seawater in power stations, desalination, and petrochemical plants.

Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, cupronickel is mainly used in key industrial fields such as seawater desalination evaporation pipes, central air-conditioning condensers, ship air coolers, petrochemical coolers, and steam turbine condensers in power stations. Cupronickel is a copper-based alloy with nickel as the main additive element. It is silvery white and has metallic luster, so it is called cupronickel. Copper and nickel can be infinitely dissolved in each other to form a continuous solid solution, that is, regardless of the ratio of each other, it is always an α-single-phase alloy. When nickel is melted into red copper D200, when the content exceeds 16%, the color of the resulting alloy becomes relatively white like silver. The higher the nickel content, the whiter the color. 70%, the naked eye will see the yellow color of copper. What’s more, the content of nickel in cupronickel is generally 25%.
